Sunshine Award

The lovely Peace and Penguins gave me another award!

So in true Blogger style, here are the rules and the other blogs which I am passing this on to. I'm sorry this post is so late, but I have been knee-deep in revision and I finally have two exams out of the way. It's so strange to think that a years' worth of work is almost done!

Here are the rules for this blog award if you have been nominated:
  • Include the award logo in a post or on your blog (see the flower photo above).
  • Answer 10 questions about yourself
  • Nominate 10-12 other fabulous bloggers
  • Link your nominees to the post and comment on their blogs, letting them know that they have been nominated.
  • Share the love and link the person who nominated you.

10 Things about Me:

Why do I study geography?

I believe that geography is one of those courses which applies to many different aspects of life from conservation to urban planning, right down to the way in which the world functions. I've always had a bug for nature and how the world works and I aim to try and make a difference in the future with my degree.

What is your favourite historical era?

I'm really drawn to the 1920's and every time I am asked this question the answer is always the same. It might have something to do with the flair of the fashion at the time and the whole mobsters thing but I also love the Egyptains.

What is your favourite season?

It's probably Spring. I love it when the weather starts to heat up and the flowers and the animals come out to play.

What is your favourite film why?

Jurassic Park. One of the earliest films I saw, some amazing quotes and I love the special effects.

What is your favourite book and why?

Charlotte's Web by E.B White will always rank very highly on my book list. It's one of the first stories I ever read and it summed up my feelings about the animal world very well. It's also one of my favourite stories about friendship and about the lengths that a friend will go to in order to help another.

What is your favourite drink?

Dr Pepper! The best fizzy drink ever created in my opinion ^_^

What is your current favourite TV programme?

Planet Earth Live is my current favourite, it is everything amazing about the animal world and more. It's made me laugh and cry.

Who inspires you?

My family and friends.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years' time?

Working overseas on a nature reserve or working with a charity, helping others.

What book are you currently reading?

An Offer From a Gentleman by Julia Quinn

  2. I love your answers! I love why you study Geography too! I remember on our PGCE, the Geography specialist man was really inspiring and I remember thinking at that point, "Why did I not realise how important and wonderful it is?" then!

We had so much fun on a car journey the other week playing, "Spot the picture in the clouds!". Again, I thought of you! You are forever connected with clouds in my mind now!

  3. Congrats on the award :) I haven't read Charlotte's Web but if I remember right it did make my step brother cry. Don't forget to have something you want to do after your course is over, or you'll spend all your time in a slump. A friend of mine is pretty much over with her course, and she's been depressed because she's not used to free time, and is now doing nothing, and it's bumming her out.

  4. Congrats on your (well deserved!!) Sunshine Award. Your blog is wonderful and I always enjoy reading it so much. I love that where you see yourself in 10 years is working on a nature preservr or with charity...no wonder I like your blog so much! Those things are so important to me. Have a wonderful Thursday my friend.
