Bright Light

A couple of weekends ago there were some gorgeous sunsets that burst through the clouds, creating some beautiful colours alongside stunning cloud shapes that seemed to drift across the skyline. It was the perfect way to end a somewhat difficult week and I could feel the promise of Spring in the air!

It began as a warm glow peeping through my window and I grabbed my camera and headed outside!

That beautiful sunlight shining through the window ledge sent rays through the plants on the windowsill.

I love it when the sun dips below the horizon and you get that flare on the camera!

It poured through my windows into my room and at this specific moment I knew I needed to get a photo. These are the kinds of evenings I've been longing for recently. I love Winter and it has a beauty all it's own, but by the time February rolls around I'm always keen to see new flowers, lambs springing about in the fields, crocuses emerging form their slumber, daffodils bringing colour to the roadsides, and warmer days on the horizon, so hopefully it won't be long until it's the perfect weather for evening strolls again!

I'm linking up with the ever lovely Jen from Pierced Wonder for Photo Friday.

Have a great weekend!
