Comforting Candlelight

On Saturday 19th March it was Earth Day. As always I turned off my lights and all of my battery power and listened to music on my phone as I bathed in the candlelight. It was lovely, warm and comforting and it always serves as a reminder to how important our planet is and how our energy usage can make a big change. This was my favourite photo that I took that night.

As always I'm linking up with Sue for Wordless Wednesdays.

Hope you're all having a lovely day!

  1. There is indeed something comforting and peaceful about candlelight and you've captured it nicely in this shot.

  3. That sounds like a lovely and relaxing way to celebrate! But now I am bummed because I forgot all about earth day.. Haha! But hey, we did end up planting a tree the other week so I guess in a way we did celebrate it, even if we didn't realize it.

  4. I knew you'd take part in Earth Day too :) It felt like there weren't as many taking part this year, nor was there the hype surrounding it like last year which is sad.
I also saw a girl who had posted a photo during the hour of a candle next to her (switched on) laptop talking about Earth Day...I was like do you even know the reason we do it?! It doesn't mean you just turn your lamps off...it's all electricals etc. It really bugged me haha

  5. Along with books, candles are my big thing.

Such a lovely way to celebrate Earth Day and remind us of the importance/fragileness of our planet

  6. I admit, this day did pass me by, but still, I love to hear about it from others. You are definitely someone I can imagine taking part - I hope you had a nice relaxing bath to celebrate!

  7. Music by candlelight sounds wonderful. I hope you do it more often then just once a year.
